Summary: This Master’s dissertation proposes the elaboration of an experimental and properly characterized optical configuration that enables the generation of a multiple wavelength hybrid Brillouin and Erbium fiber laser (MWBEFL’s), having as theoretical basis the Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS). The approach and construction of a multiwavelength laser, through the cascading of the Brillouin Effect in a non-linear fiber doped with Erbium (EDF) that will make it possible to obtain a spectrum with at least thirty stable wavelength orders of the Stokes component of the wave in a band of 40 dB, using only 140mW of power of EDFA and 20m of EDF. For the construction of the laser, an arrangement will be assembled containing optical cavities, WHERE the SBS process feeds the action via laser, at the frequency of the Stokes due to feedback from the pumping laser.
