Summary: The present dissertation is based on the study of the supply chain of
for the Mining Industry 4.0 enabling the collection and analysis of data between
machines, enabling faster, more flexible and more efficient processes to produce products from
high quality at reduced costs. The complexity of the processes involved in this chain varies
mainly depending on the number of existing or projected elements. To meet the
increase in mineral exports due to the growing demand for this product in the foreign market
it is essential that mining industries develop planning techniques by means of
simulation and optimization. In addition to the economic benefits, simulation and optimization can also
contribute to reducing environmental impacts, energy expenditures, violations of various regulations and
to assist in the most efficient way of dealing with uncertainties. A natural extension of the use of models
is to evaluate various alternative scenarios in order to obtain the best possible results.

with the interaction of large physical equipment and systems for the production of
information on handling, storage, retrieval and loading procedures for ships.
The objectives of this dissertation are: to model the port-pallet system according to the graph theory, to define
ship priorities for planning, generate an initial solution through the simulation algorithm
deterministic, and propose a meta-heuristic to improve the initial solution. Experiments
show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
