Summary: Industry 4.0 encompasses several fields of action for industrial infrastructure, in terms of technology. Today it is common to find the term Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), as its designator. This term has a broad architecture of systems and applications that require flexible and software-definable capacity in order to solve industrial challenges, such as real-time performance, security, reliability, scalability and quality of service. In this context, some industrial consortium chose to develop these tools and connect them to the architectures for their own use, the progress of this action extended and broaden up to
the design of the Reference Architecture Model (RAM). This work aimed to characterize a qualification and verification filter some of the RAM’s functionalities, such as: semantic orientation, scalability, modularity, interoperability, standardization, communication and security and privacy, to generate a Maturity and Adherence Model (MAM) with a level of abstraction for these software attributes. It was also presented some RAMs produced
by industrial consortium, independent companies and academics researchers to, together with MAM, produce a Complete RAM with a high level of abstraction. Then, a Complete RAM model was produced, based on the characteristics of the discussed RAMs and the generated MAM. A proof of concept and an analysis were carried out with the application of MAM in the researched RAMs. The analysis of the proof of concept results showed that
of the RAMs presented, the Industrial Internet Reference Architecture (IIRA) obtained the best score in terms of the tested functionalities. Another analysis carried out was as about the performance of the functionalities by the architectures, this demonstrated that security and privacy is the functionality that the RAMs perform the most in developing.
